Here’s a map of the paths I’ve managed to get a signal across in the last couple of years.
The centre is home where i run my IR (850nm) beacon.
This is all done with plain Carrier or EbNaut modulation.
Rx is 25cm square Fresnel lens and 4xBPW34 array as seen on my Optical Receiver info page.
One of the most interesting ones is the path to the south near Leeds, it is very obstructed yet it still worked all be it very weak.
