On New Years Eve 2025 Clive and myself ran another test between our home locations to try out Q65 which i have recently added to my Optical Beacon.
I was running the same IR LED Array and Clive was receiving with his Fresnel Lens and 4xPhotodiode array receive head.
This time Clive ran a cable out to the receiver so he could sit in the warm shack and watch the signal come in!
The signal this time was 5min Q65 300 A mode and 5min Carrier repeating.
Clive managed to decode the Q65 message on most intervals, Average about -25dB but some peaks up to -16dB. Rain stopped play after 5am, probably fogging up the receive lens.
