My HF station..


Well unfortunately there is not a lot to report here, 99% of my activity on radio is on the VHF and up bands but i do monitor HF now and again.
The radio used on HF now is the TS-2000 by Kenwood, with its built in ATU and all it works fine for me. usually i put a dipole up for whatever band i am operating on.. a dedicated antenna for that band is always better than a compromised one.
In the past my interest in HF has been Digital Voice communication with originally HamDream, then WinDRM and more recently FreeDV using then new CODEC2 voice codec... have not had a qso with FreeDV as of yet though!

Maybe one day i will put a decent antenna up for something like 20 or 15m but not at present, the higher bands are far more interesting!
