M0DTS VLF Rx in IO94IL 54.5N,1.29W - (DK7FC design) E-field Probe at 6m above ground

Below is a photo of the E-Field probe, it's built dead bug style on some pcb like the DK7FC Design, it's mounted on a fibreglass pole about 6m above the ground but only 3m above a metal storage container!

The probe is powered by battery/solar panel to keep it running 24/7, current draw only 32mA.

Audio feed back to the shack is through satellite coax just because it's cheap! an audio isolation transformer is used half way along the coax run to avoid noise pickup from the house.

The receive system is based around a raspberry pi with an Audio Injector Octo Sound card, the software is vlf-tools - http://abelian.org/
